Event Marketing & Comms Executive - Event & Publishing / Medical Education - £25k to £28k - SW London

This is a great opportunity for someone who has some experience in Marketing & Communications within an Event company, or with some Event experience. This is a new role, which will encompass various marketing tasks that are currently being carried out by various staff members, focussing the importance of Marketing & Comms as an official role within the company, with the potential to develop and grow the role and perhaps a department in the future. Reporting to the Event Manager, the Event Marketing Executive will create, manage and execute innovative delegate and sponsor marketing campaigns with the aim of driving attendance and maximising revenue for the event.

- £25k to £28k + benefits
- Opportunity to grow and develop the Marketing & Comms aspect of the business
- Permanent, full-time
- SW Central London
- Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm

DUTIES TO INCLUDE:


- The Marketing Executive will create and manage a thorough and effective comms plan for the Symposium/Event across all channels (email, social media, print, web), liaising with the publishing, programme and event team where necessary
- Driving registrations and providing updates on social media following a comms plan (Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook)
- Manage and update the event website, and other event comms, to attract new and engage existing attendees
- Formulate and manage email marketing strategy for the event using Campaign Monitor
- Analyse responses and identify trends
- Assemble programme announcements with Programme team
- Coordinate and manage company promotional e-blasts in the run up to the Event.
- Develop existing and forge new relationships with related meetings and publications, managing contra-deals and liaising with the sales team to ensure mutual promotion and sharing of ideas
- Liaise with and develop meaningful relationships with related associations and membership bodies to promote the event, setting up discounts/contra-deals where appropriate
- Create video campaigns with digital education team
- Undertake regular cleanse and update of CRM database, ensuring GDPR-compliance, and working with database manager to ensure subscriptions lists are up to date and accurate

REQUIREMENTS:


- Educated to degree level, within a Marketing based area
- Minimum 18 months’ experience in a B2B events environment
- Strong copywriting and proofreading skills
- Experience of marketing automation tools and CRM systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
