The Donkey Sanctuary is an international animal welfare organisation, offering care and protection to donkeys and mules worldwide.
We are working for a world where donkeys and mules live free from suffering, and their contribution to humanity is fully valued.
We are achieving this by transforming the quality of life for donkeys, mules and people worldwide through greater understanding, collaboration and support, and by promoting lasting, mutually life-enhancing relationships.

We now have an excellent opportunity for a professional and highly motivated individual to provide high level, efficient and confidential administrative support to the Executive Director of Operations.
As Executive Assistant, you will act as the initial point of contact between the Executive team and internal and external stakeholders, analysing and actioning requests in order to prioritise urgent and confidential matters, and taking decisive action to facilitate the best use of the Executive Directors time.
You will manage diary appointments, records and correspondence, schedule, organise and prioritise meetings, and book travel and accommodation arrangements, liaising with relevant team members to arrange transport, flights, visas and money and to create itineraries.
Possessing excellent collaborative skills, you will work closely with colleagues at all levels throughout the charity to build lasting relationships and support excellent communication between the Senior Leadership team and key stakeholders.

Previous experience of providing high level administrative and executive support, preferably at EA/PA level, and of collating and presenting information clearly to support informed decision-making, together with outstanding communication, organisation and planning skills, is essential, as is the ability to demonstrate tact and diplomacy when dealing with sensitive and confidential matters, and to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail while managing a diverse number of demands and multiple deadlines.
Previous experience of working in the charity/not for profit sector, and a demonstrable understanding of financial reports, are desirable.

If you feel you have the qualities, skills and experience to fulfil this varied, rewarding and vital role, and would like to be part of the evolving programme of change taking place within the charity, we would love to hear from you
