Experimental Physicist - Acoustics - Cambridge

A leading developer of medical devices in the heart of Cambridge's life science hub are looking for an experimental physicist to join their up-and-coming team of engineers and scientists.

Because of the nature of the work and the culture of the business we are looking for people who love solving complex engineering problems and who have a passion for life-improving technology.

As an Experimental Physicist you will be applying your sound engineering and physics experience to the design of highly complex systems that utilise acoustics, all aiming to provide a step-change in innovation.

You will be utilising your physics knowledge on concept generation, prototyping and testing as well as devising new experiments to validate new theoretical ideas.

To be considered for this exciting Experimental Physicist role you will need to have industry experience of developing physical products in a commercial setting. This will be coupled by a strong academic record and a passion for either medical devices or acoustical applications. Strong programming skills is advantageous as is knowledge of micron to mm scale devices.
