A brilliant opportunity has arisen for a Finance Assistant to Join the Team in Reading. You will report directly into the Finance Business Partner.

Main Duties

Managing the validation process of the supplier invoices and credit notes in the set monthly timelines and ensure the accurate calculation of the month end accruals.

Maintaining the supplier relationship by ensuring all queries are resolved within the team’s KPIs.

Processing of AP invoices and ensuring payment is in line with supplier payment terms.

Manage posting of cost of sales to both P&L & Balancesheet

Co-ordinate weekly and monthly reports in preparation of month-end.

Ad-hoc finance support

Desirable experience

Ability to logically analyse and manipulate large amounts of data;

Multitask and ability to complete processes/tasks by set deadlines;

Proactive in problem solving;

Experience of working within a fast paced lively environment;

Personal Requirements

Excellent excel skills (intermediate level), high degree of accuracy and attention to detail;

Excellent time management and prioritisation. Ability to move quickly between tasks and react to changing priorities;

Good working knowledge of all Microsoft Office packages;

Experience of SAFE & SAP advantageous;

Excellent written and oral communication;

A proactive and logical approach to finding solutions to problems;

Able to work as part of a team and offer support and guidance to team members;

Willingness to learn;


Strong academics (A-Levels - desirable);

Studying for professional qualification (CIMA or ACCA). AAT qualified advantageous.
