Description

Our client, one of the world's leading telecommunication companies, seeks a high-calibre Finance Business Partner for its Group technology finance team. As a Finance Business Partner, you will work closely with the technology finance team to provide business partnering and finance decision support to the business; aimed at providing commercial and financial expertise to drive the best decisions and maximising the return on investment.

This is a highly commercial position that will see you providing insightful reporting, forecasting and driving cost efficiency initiatives as well as supporting the business by defining financial processes, business cases and setting financial KPI’s.

It is essential that applicants are true ‘change agents’; people who are able to provide sound commercial advice and help drive change and improvements wherever possible.


Applicants should have a minimum of 2 years’ solid finance experience gained within a management accounting or business partnering role. As well as well-honed analytical skills, you should have experience in budgeting and forecasting as well as ideally having had exposure of managing cost efficiency programmes, working with financial cost models and defining financial KPI’s. Due to the business partnering focus, excellent interpersonal and influencing skills are essential.

This is a Newbury based role, however the business promotes flexible working where possible.

Skills / Experience / Attributes:

Qualified accountant or working towards qualification - CIMA, CA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent preferred

A minimum of 2 years’ solid finance experience in a commercially focused business partnering or management accounting role

Experience of budgeting and forecasting

Experience of financial cost modelling, cost efficiency programmes and KPI setting would be beneficial

Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills

Comfortable with and excited by change

Business partnering experience
