Salary:£30,395 to £39,609 per annum, depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

You will be an enthusiastic and motivated individual who will join the existing H&S team. Reporting to the Fire Safety Advisor you will deliver expert advice and operational fire safety support. You will work alongside colleagues in the Safety Office, supporting on fire related issues. In addition, you will provide general support and advice to staff and students on a wide range of topics, with the mission of supporting a positive safety culture.

You will be a hands-on, pragmatic, people-orientated individual, with demonstrable influencing skills. You will be a team player with the ability to engage collaboratively with staff at different levels, organise your own time effectively and have a flexible approach as the work demands can change.

You should have significant experience of providing fire safety advice in a similar organisation. You will ideally also hold a NEBOSH certificate and a fire safety diploma or be willing to undertake them.

Previous experience in a Higher Education environment is desirable but not essential.

This post will be offered on a full-time (36.25 hours per week), fixed-term contract for a period of 2 years.
