The Council are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, committed and innovative professional who would like to come and work within their Fostering team as the Supervising Social Worker.
Your new role
The Council are looking to recruit a qualified social worker to work within the fostering team, which is a friendly and supportive environment that works alongside the mainstream childcare teams in a fixed term 12 month part time contract.
This post offers the opportunity for a worker to develop their knowledge and skills and to be creative in their work within the community.
This busy team is comprised of people with a range of professional experience and as such the role requires a confident individual with strong leadership skills and a flexible nature as there is some occasional evening work. Possessing good interpersonal and administrative skills, the successful candidate will have regular formal supervision as well as access to informal support and guidance from colleague supervising social workers.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful social workers will have:
- A recognised social work qualification
- Full HCPC registration
- Completion of ASYE
- Fostering experience
- The experience or drive to supervise new graduates and other team members
- Experience of planning, implementing and reviewing social work practice
