Job Title: Fraud Analyst – Day Shift
Location: 1234 Pavilion Drive, Northampton
Global fraud management consists of multiple teams worldwide investigating and preventing fraud 7 days a week across the complete Barclays portfolio.
Minimising risk and exposure of suspicious activity for both the Bank and Customer is crucial. In order to do this successfully the role holder will be responsible for liaising directly with a number of stakeholders including customers, merchants, law enforcement, National Fraud Intelligence Bureau and a number of wider business functions.
Preventing fraudulent activity and subsequent fraud losses across all channels through the identification and reporting of abuse patterns and trends
The team are responsible for collaboratively preventing in excess of £60 million per annum of fraud loss for the bank and recovering in excess of £20 million per annum
Investigating suspicious activity and making an informed decision on whether or not there is 1st or 3rd party compromises
Minimising the banks financial loss position as well as being proactive in the recovery of funds for scams related disputes
Answering queries and providing helpful and accurate advice to clients, customers and internal stakeholders on Fraud and Scam related queries through a variety of channels
Proven experience in direct internal and external customer contact demonstrated through either face to face, telephony or digital channels
In depth knowledge and ability to implement legislations that affects Barclays and our customers, such as the Data Protection Act, the Financial Services Act and Money Laundering Regulations.
Proven experience within financial institutions and operations
Financial crime experience
Knowledge of the roles and business activities carried out by other teams within Barclays UK and how these relate to Fraud Operations
Prior experience with Barclays, our product and core systems such as FullServe
