As the Global Mobility Director for AstraZeneca based in Cambridge UK, you will play a meaningful role in achieving AstraZeneca’s bold ambition, by building and leading the mobility agenda.

The mission of the Global Mobility team is to manage international moves globally, which includes project leading the successful movement of assignees and their families. The team also acts as the central point of contact throughout the whole assignment process, providing support and direction to assignees and their families, home and host management and HR.

We are looking for a Global Mobility Director to lead the function globally. In this role you will develop and drive the over-arching mobility strategy for AstraZeneca.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Leading the Global Mobility strategy and agenda for AstraZeneca
Ownership and review of global mobility processes and suppliers to ensure a positive employee/candidate experience.
Provide specialist advice to support the development of talent and capability within AstraZeneca through Global Mobility strategy and contributes to the design and development of high quality policy solutions and specialised programmes to support it.
Ensure the delivery of cost effective, high quality GM policies and administration delivering a service that benchmarks strongly externally and is rated highly internally
Oversee and resolve escalated and challenging technical and/or management issues related to the Global Mobility programme.
Handle risks associated with compliance requirements, particularly with reference to tax, immigration and contract law.
Evaluate operational efficiency and client relationships and leads process and service improvements as required.

Demonstrated experience of creating and driving a global mobility function
Impeccable technical understanding of international compensation and benefits, including tax and social security
Experience of managing suppliers
Strong customer relationship skills and ability to deal with difficult clients and situations
Previous experience of leading a team
Senior stakeholder management
Commercial thinker
Ideally, has personal experience of an international assignment and has lived and worked overseas
