My client is a Scottish technology centred life sciences business with a customer base across the developed markets of the world. The business has embarked on a period of significant growth and has a reputation for developing industry-leading technology and applications for an international customer base.

The Edinburgh site houses every aspect of the operation and the business is going through an unprecedented period of expansion offering new products, developing new services and successfully increasing market share. These are highly complex systems with electronic, mechanical, pneumatic systems. In essence precision instruments manufactured to very high quality standards.

The role is seen as key to the development of new systems and ongoing support of existing products and services. These are often highly customised solutions for customers, providing the opportunity to work closely with the other members of the engineering team.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of different end-to end solutions, implement improvements and provide technical support for established products where your impact and contribution will be clear and recognised.

Key requirements


- Degree in Computer Science, Software Development or equivalent
- Practical experience of working C++, C#, JAVA
- Experience of designing and developing user interfaces and multi-threaded software
- Ability to work in a multi-functional team combing product design, mechanical, electronic and software engineering
