Global Distribution and International
Assist VP Operational Finance or lead ad hoc finance projects such as:
Accounting memos relating to non-routine transactions e.g. any purchase accounting
System Implementations to drive simplification and automation improvements e.g. Project 20:20 transition to monthly reporting
Lead simplification projects including legal entity rationalisations and consolidation ledger clean downs
Assist in quantifying impacts of group accounting policies and regulatory changes, and ensuring business considerations are appropriately included in these
Provide guidance on financial systems including BW & SAP,
Be first point of contact on implications of foreign exchange arising as part of closing and consolidation process and fx impact on non standard transactions
Control finance system master data set up and maintenance
Maintain accounting for head office, holding and dormant companies
Prepare and post consolidation journals, and maintain consolidation ledgers
Liaise with Opco’s to understand, approve and post journal entries post close, including fx coding post automated fx routines
Work with finance teams and other group businesses to prepare elimination entries on programming acquired from Group companies
Build relationships with key stakeholders – including Opco finance controllers, Group FP&A, Corporate Finance, Tax, Treasury, and outsource partners
The Group Controllership function of Universal Networks International is responsible for overseeing the timely and accurate completion of monthly and quarterly financial closings in accordance with US GAAP. The Group consolidates more than 50 ledgers and 40 legal entities and interfaces with operating companies in Western Europe, Asia Pacific, CEE, Latin America and North America.
This position will report to the Universal Networks Vice President, Operational Finance and manages a team of 5 including 2 additional offshore accountants.
NBCUniversal’s international operations outside the US and Canada include film and television distribution, home entertainment distribution, channels, film and television production, theme parks and news operations.
