You will assist the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) to promote and challenge the culture of risk management within CS (UK) Limited and CS Asset Management Limited (CSAML) and to help the front to back platform to understand its risk thresholds, appetite and capacity. This role requires strong understanding of the risks associated with Private Banking and Asset Management businesses, so that it can help manage and implement a robust and coherent risk management framework, acting within the CRO function as a second line of defence.
 
The key responsibilities of the role are to have overall accountability to the CRO for the enterprise risk framework of CSUK and CSAML including:


Act as second line of defence for the overall CSUK risk performance, with a comprehensive focus on risks, including (i) business revenue and cost volatility (ii) positions risks such as those derived by market and credit positions (iii) non-position risks such as operational risk losses, regulatory, model risk or similar

Act as the focal point for any interaction in respect of IWM Division's strategy, exposure, limits, and risk mitigation

Interpreting PRA/FCA rule and guideline changes and analysis on the impact to both CSUK and CSAML

Drafting, production and seeking approval of the ICAAP, ILAAP and Pillar 3 disclosures

Produce and continually develop consolidated risk reporting (including BCBS 239) used by the Board Risk Committee and sub-committees, including monitoring the risk appetite against approved risk limits. Work with the platform to make sure that data delivered is fit for purpose

Responsible for management of the Risk Committee agenda items, deck preparation, preparation of focus topics and actions tracking. Other governance forums which you will be required to contribute to include Operational Risk & Compliance Committee, Credit Risk Committee, ALM CARMC, Scenario Analysis Committee and Fiduciary and Credit Risk Committees

Provide analysis and commentary on risk reporting including aggregation and correlations of risk

Ability to demonstrate robust identification, measurement and monitoring of risks by drafting and validating the Risk Appetite Statement. Includes advising the businesses on whether the risks inherent in its business strategy are consistent with its risk appetite and thresholds and in line with the wider Group strategy and risk appetite

Maintenance of the risk policy framework by regular review and attestation of key risk policies. Maintenance of key risk procedures and recommending enhancements where applicable

Scenario stress and reverse stress testing analysis and oversight. Working closely with Group’s Model Validation teams to ensure stress models are fit for purpose and SR11-7 compliant
 
The role will be a member of the:
 
CSUK & CSAML Scenario Analysis Steering Committees, which are responsible for:


Reviewing, assessing and updating the scenario analysis framework

Reviewing and challenging scenario methodology

Reviewing the outcome of stress test results and key management actions

Reviewing, assessing and updating the liquidity framework

Reviewing and challenging liquidity risk thresholds and analysis of present and future cashflow impacts

Oversight of the Contingency Funding Plan
 
CSAML Fiduciary and Credit Risk Committee which is responsible for:


Reviewing, assessing and monitoring of the credit and fiduciary risks inherent in the CSAML business, including concentration risks

Reviewing and approving new CLO launches or CLO refinance/redemptions

Reviewing changes in the credit risk strategy
