A successful business in Preston are looking to appoint a Head of Finance in a number 1 finance role reporting directly to the MD. The business has achieved a healthy incline with continued expansion forecasted as part of their ambitious 5 year business plan. This is a broad all-encompassing role which provides a high level of autonomy but remains hands on in many areas of accounts.
Your role in your new job
As Head of Finance, you will be part of the Senior Management team and have responsibility for all financial control, planning and reporting for the business. You will lead a small finance team and be responsible for their training and development. You will produce budgets and forecasts and take ownership for statutory accounting requirements, being the primary point of contact for all associated stakeholders. You will also take the lead on month end reporting, overseeing and reviewing all transactional processes.
You will be pivotal in the decision making processes, attending regular Board meetings and be a key player in the businesses future plans and strategy. You will review existing systems and procedures, identifying and implementing relevant improvements.
Your experience and our requirements
To be considered for this role, you will be fully qualified (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) with experience of leading a finance function. Equally, my client will consider applicants who are established in an FC/no.2 finance position and ready to take the next step in their career. You will have experience of driving change with strong influential and communication skills at all levels.
