Head of SalesAutomotiveWest Midlands£70,000 - £80,000 + benefitsAn exciting opportunity has arisen to join a market leading Automotive Tier 1 manufacturer as Head of Sales, leading a dynamic team based in both the West Midlands office and Europe. You will be working with a number of world class OEM customers. This role is easily commutable from most parts of the West Midlands including Birmingham, Telford, Wolverhampton, Walsall, Worcestershire, Redditch, West Bromwich, Coventry and surrounding areas.The RoleResponsibilities include:Drive sales and financial targetsDeveloping and executing a strategy for the businesses UK Automotive business covering the entire project life cycle from conception to completion.Leading a team of Sales Managers, Key Account Managers and Junior Account ManagersManaging the relationship with existing customers, looking for greater product penetrationDevelop new business with OEM customersInspire, motivate and drive team performance in line with the businesses modelMeeting and exceeding annual sales targetsAnalysing competitors, their organization, distribution, strategy and pricing. Drive benchmarking exercises to ensure the business offer a competitive and attractive proposition based on cost, quality, delivery and customer buying experienceBuilding relationships with other participating departments and product line management to assist in the development of marketing and product strategiesThe PersonWe are looking for an experienced Head of Sales / Sales Director with a proved record in an Automotive manufacturing supply environment.Candidates without direct experience working in automotive manufacturing unfortunately cannot be considered for this role. Required experience -A minimum of 10 year's experience in salesTechnical and/or commercial education (Bachelors, Masters degree or similar) background or product interestA minimum of 3 years at Head of Sales or Sales Director levelAble to put together a robust business plan and execute the sales strategy whilst also not afraid to get hands on when requiredExperience leading teams and driving performanceEnthusiasm to learn and drive resultsA natural seller with strong business development skillsEnthusiasm to learn and drive resultsCompetent in creating and holding professional presentations with demanding OEM customers The CompanyMy client are a leading Tier 1 automotive manufacturer with a high quality product and a prestigious customer base.
