Head of Technology Transformation & PMO - Exciting Online Brand JOB SUMMARY: To lead and support execution of the Technology strategy through: Collaborative development and management of the Technology strategy and associated, multi-year, investment plans - Implementation and governance of the IT operating model. - Ensuring common understanding of the purpose and goals of Technology activities and how Technology delivers business value - Aligning strategy and operational plans and maximize the value of investment - Transparency and predictable delivery of strategic objectives through global Project Management Office (PMO) capabilities This role is a member of the Technology senior leadership team and will work across the organisation to lead and facilitate the execution of Technology strategy. - Leadership in a global Technology organisation
- Delivering transformational change in Technology organisations
- Developing organisational capability (people, processes, technology, knowledge)
- Developing processes and a planning timetable to ensure Technology strategy supports Corporate strategy.
- Strategic thinking, innovation, strategy development and execution, planning and decision-making in a in a complex geographical / functional matrix organization.
- Leading the introduction, operation and improvement of a global planning & PMO capabilities
- Knowledge and understanding of world class Technology organisations with a strong external perspective of developments in Technology
- Communicating and inspiring confidence at a senior level with technical and non-technical audiences
- Technology governance and change management experience with advanced stakeholder and risk management skills in situations of ambiguity OTHER PREFERRED ATTRIBUTES:
- Knowledge of the Events industry

- Educated to degree level or equivalent with relevant Project / Programme management / P3O qualification PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop, implement, communicate and maintain an operating model for strategic planning and the delivery of PMO capabilities.
- Develop and maintain the Technology strategy; capture strategic issues and the options for supporting and influencing the business strategy. Align the Technology function and other business units on the strategic value of technology to maximize the creation of business value.
- Translate Technology strategy and decisions into an agreed programmes and projects which will deliver strategic objectives with identifiable deliverables and resources to achieve the medium and long-term strategic objectives.
- Lead the execution of the Technology strategy through implementation of the IT operating model. Oversee overall project and operational plans and budgets required to support the Technology Strategy. Ensure the plan reflects business objectives and achievability. Manage the associated prioritisation processes.
- Develop, implement and manage standard global policies, processes and tools for Portfolio, Programme and Project management to ensure:
- Continued alignment with corporate strategies and objectives,
- Adoption / adherence to best practice, robust governance and quality assurance
- Programmes and projects have an approved business case, and that this is kept under scrutiny
- Identification and resolution of issues, risks, dependencies across programmes and project
- Optimal use of Technology resources across the global organisation.
- Learning is captured from successful and less successful initiatives and apply this to future initiatives
- Proactively engage and support all stakeholders to ensure common understanding and ownership of strategic / operational planning processes, goals and targets. Provide value added information and insight required for effective decision making.

- Manage and motivate teams in order to deliver required outcomes. Attract, develop and retain a pipeline of talent in line with required technical, professional, managerial and leadership capability
