BDS are looking to recruit two Street Outreach Workers in Northampton. The post holder will work to contribute positively to the successful and timely implementation of our clients Multi Agency Rough Sleepers Strategy which seeks to end the need for people to sleep rough in Northampton.
By working collaboratively and imaginatively with other services and organisations, you will prevent homelessness, improve people’s life chances, encourage and support independence and achieve innovative, lasting housing solutions.
With a passion for collaborative multi agency working, you will have a proven ability to inspire and motivate people, you will have excellent interpersonal skills and you will be able to work well under pressure and make clear, consistent decisions.
To meet the requirements of this key role, you must be able to work outside of normal office hours in order to undertake regular weekly Outreach Sessions (once early in the morning and once late at night) and attend occasional community events.
Ideally, you will have experience of working with, and advocating for, people who are sleeping rough, ex-offenders and/or people with substance misuse or mental health issues, and of attending and participating in multi-disciplinary case conferences.
Salary in circa of £15 - £20 limited per hour based on experience.
