Are you passionate about using data to drive evidence-based decision making? Can you work with sizeable datasets and manipulate them in a logical way to elicit insights with clarity? 
 
We are looking for data analyst that thinks in a clear and organised manner to help us tackle challenging business problems with data and a mathematical approach. The right candidate would be able to work under time-pressure, generating accurate and often present complex analysis. The ability to explain complicated concepts to a lay-person would be a key trait and thinking creatively about problem-solving would be critical. 
 
 
Overview
 
 
The Unilever People Analytics team is a pioneering group of statisticians, data scientists and visualisation experts that utilise advanced statistical techniques to analyse our HR, financial and marketing data.
 
The role involves discovering and rationalising historical patterns in large data sets, developing predictive models and creating automated data solutions to aid decision-making.
 
 
 
Major responsibilities:
 
As a core part of your role you will need to:
Transform business questions from stakeholders to hypotheses that can be tested with data.
Help HR Business Partners with data-centric questions in a scalable manner.
Write SQL queries to pull out data from relevant databases in an efficient and logical manner.
Performing statistical analysis on data to draw out useful insights and present them to senior leaders.
Collaborate with the HR Information & Analytics team (within Enterprise Technology Solutions) to obtain new data sources as well as employing visualisation tools, in order to communicate the insights to broader HR audience.  
 
 
Requirements:
 
An undergraduate degree in a quantitative discipline (Maths, Science, Engineering, Economics etc) 
Familiarity with SQL (and ideally R) would be desirable.
Proficiency in Excel (including use of VLOOKUP, SUMPRODUCT, Pivot tables)
Tableau or MS PowerBI experience would be an advantage
A demonstrable interest in Machine Learning or Statistics.
