As a professional and credible HR Business Partner, you will be joining an HR operations team with a commercial and pragmatic outlook and you will enjoy a great opportunity to contribute to the University’s ambitious strategic plan.
In this critical role you will be the main point of contact for your designated portfolio area/s, supporting business leaders on HR operational issues, from employee relations to workforce planning, and connecting these to wider strategic objectives. You will advocate best practice and provide advice and guidance across the full HR remit, balancing the needs of both the University and the employee, and offer a solutions driven approach to your customers. You will also work closely with trade unions, encouraging communication and proactive solutions that contribute to the University’s success.
To excel at this level you will ideally be fully CIPD qualified and certainly have substantial experience of providing HR advice to managers across the business. A generalist background means you will have the experience and confidence to fully partner your portfolio areas and bring to life the University’s HR vision.
With a strong appreciation for the HE sector, you will bring your knowledge of the best people management practices to add value to support the University’s People Strategy.
