Job Purpose

Join the team in our prestigious global headquarters and take responsibility for the delivery of a proactive, commercially-focussed HR service which aligns to the objectives of the business. You will operate with a great deal of autonomy as a local HR expert and play a key role in the implementation of global HR projects.

Main Duties

Provide support and guidance across a broad range of HR topics, ensuring local culture and legislation are understood and applied when achieving required results

Ensure effective communication and implementation of initiatives

Maintain all data accurately on the HRIS and work with Finance and the broader HR team to pull relevant reports, providing insights and recommendations to help shape business decisions

Manage the annual salary review process across the business units including remuneration panels, recommendations and analysis of outcomes in line with global process

Drive the effectiveness of the performance review process, providing coaching and support and delivering refresher training to managers and employees as required

Support the development and delivery of training initiatives, in conjunction with the Learning & Development Partner

Manage benefits programs locally, soliciting expertise from the C&B team, and provide information and guidance to employees

Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to ensure a smooth and seamless recruitment and onboarding process for new hires

Work with local management and employee groups and the global HR team to identify, implement and manage local initiatives in response to the annual Employee Opinion Survey

Ensure that effective recognition and engagement activities take place, organizing or overseeing such events as needed

Providing HR advice, guidance and coaching to managers in a fast moving international environment

Working with a variety of personalities, management levels and stakeholders

Proven track record in successful onboarding activities as well as implementing sustainable HR projects

Providing pragmatic legal and best practice advice and guidance to managers on difficult employee relations issues

Applying globally consistent approaches in pragmatic way

Driving new initiatives and activities to successful completion

Working in an environment of rapid change and changing needs from employees

Actively participate and engage as a member of business-wide HR & management teams

Skills & Experience

CIPD Qualified or working towards

Excellent verbal and written communication

Project management

Good knowledge of UK employment law

Strong prioritisation skills

Ability to work independently and autonomously

Understanding of commercial drivers

Conflict resolution

Designing and implementing policies

Based in Abingdon, with travel from time-to-time to other global locations
