Elevation Recruitment are working with a market-leading manufacturing company based in South Yorkshire who are looking for a proven HSE Manager to influence throughout their FMCG manufacturing site. My client works with retailers worldwide and are invested in the development of their Health & Safety programme.
Recent growth within the business has left the business looking for a future HSE leader; someone who can drive change on one of their flagship manufacturing sites, overseeing the manufacturing process from a HSE standpoint and working with the wider HSE team to share ideas and work towards best practice.
The HSE Manager duties will include:
-Establish and maintain an effective occupational health and safety system on site, capable of achieving third party certification to the new ISO 45001 Standard
-Take ownership of the risk assessment programme
-Provide advice, training and support in all areas of health and safety
-Influence and improve the monthly KPIs, investigate incidents and ensure continued compliance with applicable legislation
-Support the site management team in identifying best practice in areas of health and safety applicable to a multi-skilled, high volume manufacturing site
We are very keen to speak to candidates with the following skills and experience:
-NEBOSH Diploma Qualified
-Strong influencing and negotiating skills
-Good organisational and planning skills, attention to detail
-FMCG manufacturing industries experience, food manufacturing would be an advantage
-Evidence of operating within an OHSAS 18001 environment
-A minimum of five years' experience in a similar role
