An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Analyst to join our well established Finance Team at Head Office in Sheffield on a 12 month interim contract. If successful, you will provide analytical and reporting support as part of the Finance Team.
What does the role involve?
The role holder will provide regular analysis of customer performance, including both sales and margin. You’ll also follow this up through discussions with the Sales Teams in order to establish causes. You’ll undertake analysis on investment case performance, undertaking reviews of key actions and whether they have been delivered.
In addition, the role holder will work on the design and implementation of customer performance reporting, as well as any ad hoc reporting as required by the business.
The successful candidate will need to have commercial experience, which will enable you to put context around data and provide the required direct analysis. You’ll need experience of working with large data sets and also unreliable data sets, be proficient in Excel and have Access and SQL skills. You will be self-motivated, a strong communicator and have the ability to deliver technically strong, practical and comprehensive documentation, as well as having the ability to understand the complexity of the end 2 end profitability calculations.
