Description

Our Client is a speciality distributor of raw materials and chemicals to the UK Manufacturing Industry. They are now seeking an Internal Account Manager - Life Sciences. This position will be office based in London and is a full-time permanent role reporting to the Sales Manager.

Job Purpose


- Managing and developing new and existing customer relationships in order to maximize sales

Key Responsibilities


- Responsible for the delivery of monthly / quarterly / annual Gross Margin and budgeted targets using effective sales techniques and the company’s sales procedures
- Open and develop new trading accounts
- Maintain a sales plan for the area, monitoring and mapping time scales and actions required to achieve growth
- Maintain appropriate level of product knowledge, including attendance at product training
- Continually seek new market and product sales opportunities
- Liaise with appropriate BDMs to maximize sales opportunities
- Monitor, evaluate and report on competitors activities in order to identify sales opportunities
- Contribute to industry and company product development to maximize sales opportunities
- Liaise and work closely with other members of the sales team to ensure the customers requirements are fulfilled efficiently and effectively

Qualifications and Experience


- Previous experience within a similar support role in the Chemical or Life Science industry is desirable
- Customer facing
- Knowledge of selling principles
- Knowledge of the chemical industry is desirable
- Ability to develop and maximize a profit driven environment
- Effective customer service skills
- Ability to problem solve, prioritise, delegate and monitor
- Communicates well with all interfaces and relationships

In return, our Client is offering a salary of up to £25,000 per annum basic plus generous bonus scheme & benefits
