Market Job Description

The Wholesale Control (WC) organization serves as the front line risk management organization within the Wholesale Banking group of Wells Fargo supporting the Wholesale businesses with risk strategy, implementation, and execution. The team is responsible to identify and assess risks, design and implement controls, and execute and monitor the controls to ensure they are working effectively to manage risk across Wholesale. The Role The International Control - Risk Analytics Lead position reports to the Regional Governance & Programs Leader within the EMEA Control organization. This position will be accountable for leading a team of risk professionals responsible for the development and execution of a regional control program, governance framework, and analytics, reporting and administration program, which involves i dentifying, designing, and implementing an effective suite of controls to meet Corporate and local jurisdictional requirements . This position will execute the programs in cooperation with Regional Business Control Leaders, Wholesale Control teams and LOB Control teams. This position will also maintain relationships across the various Wholesale, Payments, Virtual Solutions and Innovation (PVSI) and Wealth & Investment Management (WIM) Control programs (e.g. Governance, Enterprise Risk, Compliance, Operational Risk, and Financial Crimes) to ensure effective end-to-end integration of risk management initiatives across risk types and business control programs across International. This candidate will work cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders and support partners globally. The team member will drive implementation of Wells Fargo's Corporate and business specific policies and procedures in a holistic, consistent and practical manner.

Specific Responsibilities:

- Design and implement front-line risk and control reporting and associated workflow across the region, in coordination with the International Control Analytics, Reporting and Administration Leader, ensuring consistent standards
- Develop risk data and analytics across the region (with ability to aggregate information at the legal entity, country and regional levels) in coordination with the relevant International Governance and Programs partners, ensuring consistent standards
- Implement a fully integrated analytics, reporting and administration infrastructure to support the group and leverage resources for multiple, on-going activities/initiatives
- Provide insights on the regional issues management program, in coordination with the relevant stakeholders, in particular the LOB Issues Management teams
- Implement design and production of MI supporting the management of the regulatory control framework across the region, to facilitate risk management
- Lead engagement of stakeholders across LOBs & support areas to source Risk data & develop into meaningful Management Information to be used in the LOB Risk & Control Forums and Regional Governance forums
- Partner with Tech delivery teams to build-out requirements for more strategic development programs
- Manage relationships and foster a team orientation with other regional Risk Analytics teams & the Wholesale Control organisation in the US


Market Skills and Certifications

Required Qualifications: Significant experience in compliance, operational risk management (includes audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, or the management of a process or business with accountability for compliance or operational risk), or a combination of both; or significant experience of IT systems security, business process management or financial services industry experience, of which a large proportion must include direct experience in compliance, operational risk management, or a combination of both Desired Qualifications:


- Proven experience managing specialist analytics teams in a Financial Services Risk Analytics function
- Proficiency in analytics / data management / Business Intelligence / workflow toolkits (e.g. Excel VBA, SQL, Sharepoint, Tableau etc…)
- Proven experience designing, developing, implementing and maintaining effective risk management programs, especially risk controls, within a large complex financial services company
- Ability to identify and transform existing programs that may be ineffective or deficient from a technological, operational and/or human capital perspective
- Strong experience and business acumen in the financial services industry, products, and regulatory environment
- Proven leadership ability to drive or influence successful execution of change initiatives
- Working knowledge of Wholesale Banking
- Ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear manner
- Experience driving forward-looking strategic plans and full lifecycle transformation leadership from idea inception to implementation to adoption into business as usual operations
- Ability to influence and consult strategically across a large organization and with various levels of leadership/stakeholders
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
