Description

Our Internship Placement Programme is an opportunity for UK and International students to undertake work experience during or after their studies at University. Applicants must be currently studying towards or recently completed their degree (within the last two years). We are looking for an Intern to join our team for a period of 9 months from June 2019.


We want you to get the most out of your time at Bentley and when you start you will sit down with your placement manager and discuss your objectives - both business and personal. You will then have a set of deliverables, which will really challenge and stretch you, so at the end of the internship you will have developed professionally and personally.

Reporting to our Digital Content & Social Media Manager, your main Objectives and Responsibilities will be as follows:


REPORTING & DATA (40%)


Social Media Performance Reporting:

Monthly social media overview reports

Monthly campaign KPI reports

Monthly brand and centenary campaign UGC reports

Bi-Annual motorsport social ROI and performance report

Other reports as requested


Social Media Reporting for Retailers

Monthly report on Retailer and #WorldofBentley content, co-ordination of internal stakeholder approval and content creator approval, for use on global platforms where applicable

Monthly content extracts from global social media platforms, of posts suitable for Retailers to share, for inclusion on RMN

Reporting on Social Media Masterclass for Retailers (engagement rate, feedback, suggestions, case studies)


Social Media Reporting for Regions

Where applicable, contribute organic regional performance social data, to regionally targeted campaign reports


Data Processing

Support the sales, marketing and research team with user journey data created through social pixels, data matching and content behaviour/custom audiences

Administrate shared audiences where applicable, to support user journey marketing initiatives

Assist licensing, partnership, affinity and sponsorship managers with techniques to identify and assess partners and influencers


CONTENT (40%)


Global Social Media Content

Planning, creation and posting of social media content and links for global customer-facing platforms, to the brand framework (40hrs p.m)

Assisting with processes such as internal approvals, playbooks and operational process guides

Liaising with multiple stakeholders to obtain required assets and information about upcoming projects, events, activities and launches

Assist with copywriting, retouching and film editing for multiple platforms

Assist with administration of social media planning and reporting tools


Regional Social Media Content

Collaboration with regions and agencies on regionally organically targeted social campaigns for the global platforms


COMMUNITY/SOCIAL CARE (20%)


Assist with Bentley Network and Social Media care/responding, liaising with Contact Centre where applicable re:

Tagging responders (customers, prospects, detractors, advocates)

Assisting with handling and escalating inbound enquiries

Placement of on-platform responses

‘Liking’ of relevant content, comments and shares

Moderation of comments

Liaising with comms/PR team where opportunities arise to promote our responses through ‘humanising’ PR stories

Maintaining and updating social care process guides


Extraordinary Person


We know that everyone and every role is important in our ongoing success. We are looking for an extraordinary person who is studying for or have completed a degree in a related subject within the last 2 years and are on target to achieve or achieved a 2:1 or above.


We understand that you may have limited work experience but you should have well-developed problem solving and analytical skills, possess good interpersonal skills, initiative and the enthusiasm to achieve. Quality in our business is top priority and we need individuals who can demonstrate a high focus on quality and a right first time attitude.


Skills and experience required:

Logic, numeracy and good organisational skills appreciated

Commercial awareness, excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Experience of professional social media use preferred

Ability to work in a team/collaborate


Specific technical knowledge or qualifications required:

Digital Marketing or Media course preferred

Familiar with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint

Familiar with social media planning, reporting and engaging tools a bonus

Knowledge of digital monitoring and social media

Salary: The salary for this role is based on the UK national minimum wage rate.
