IT Support Engineer / Trainee 1st / 2nd line Support Analyst
- Reigate, Surrey
- £18-20k

Ideally suited to recent Graduate of an IT related degree / other IT related Further Education studies or someone with a genuine passion for IT who has gained some formal IT qualifications looking for new role.

My Client is a small but well-established and growing IT service provider based in Reigate, Surrey supporting around 50 customers, mainly based in Surrey and the South East.
Due to steady and continued expansion they are looking to add to their existing team and recruit a Junior / Trainee Support Engineer.

From Month 1 you will be performing a 1st Line support Analyst role and will be trained to provide 2nd Line support.
The aim is to train you to provide 1st/2nd line client support across a variety of IT systems and technologies, eventually progressing onwards to Network Administration / 3rd Line Network Analyst.

Your position will always encompass 1st Line Support as even the 3rd Line guys still answer the phones to their customers.


Initially you will be office based at their Central Reigate offices, but some of your training and ongoing work will be on Client site as you will be providing remote and hands on support to their Clients.
Therefore it is essential you hold a current, fully UK Driving license and either own, or plan to buy a car
- full expenses will be paid for any travel required by the business.
You will be working normal office hours ie on call or shift work is not required.

This is a Mon-Fri position.
Shift work / weekend / long hours are not expected.
That said, further down the line there will be the occassional out of hours server installs but these will be few and far between and planned well in advance.

To be suitable for this position you will be an excellent communicator and have the confidence to assist their Client base clearly on the telephone.
You will also be a driver as you will be working on Client's site on a regular basis (travel will be fully expensed and it will all be around Surrey/South East
- local to Reigate)

Essential Experience requirements:


- An IT related Degree or a formal IT qualification ie Microsoft Certification, Cisco certification or CompTIA
- Strong Customer Service Focus
- Excellent team commitment and loyalty
- Manage your own time effectively, be reliable and self motivated
- Portraying professionalism, helpfulness and politeness at all times
- Able to use own initiative to resolve operational issues or escalate accordingly

Tech skills that will be trained:


- Windows Server (2012, 2016, 2019)
- Office 365
- Hosted Exchange
- Active Directory
- Windows 10
- Backup & Business Continuity
- Datto, Storagecraft.
Acronis Endpoint and Windows Backup
- Firewall, WAN, WAPs & Routers
- ConnectWise
- Antivirus

Desirable / non essential experience requirments:


- Experience from an IT industry & or Helpdesk/Call Centre back ground.

This role will not be home based or offer flexible working hours so please do not apply if this does not work for you.
