Purpose

Currently recruiting for an IT Support Technician for a client based in Cambridge, the Company operate within the Defence/Aerospace industry. The IT Support Technician will support and maintain in-house computer systems, desktops and end users. The role will include installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining and upgrading all hardware and equipment.

Duties
*Assist in capacity planning for meeting future desktop hardware needs.
*Perform on-site analysis, diagnosis and resolution of complex PC Problems.
*Provide training and assistance to end users.
*Define technical specifications for purchase of PCs, networking hardware and related products.
*Monitor and test PC performance and provide PC performance statistics and reports.
*Support development and implementation of new computer projects and new hardware installations.

Experience:
*Hand-on hardware troubleshooting experience.
*Good understanding of networking principals, including TCP/IP.
*Working knowledge of current network protocols and operating systems.
