Java the one that we want, Java the one that we want, ooh ooh ooooh Summer lovin' today, and we've got a role that'll put a Spring (Java framework pun alert!) in your step. We're helping to scale the development team for a tech focussed company based in Worcester.
You'll be a developer / coder / engineer (whatever you like to be called) working across the whole SDLC; being able to get involved in design, POCs and deployments. You'll like working in a collaborative environment where the team are all focussed on creating the end goal. Ideally, you'll be fully immersed in development; going home and completing your own personal projects whilst listening to the latest talk on Agile methodologies, or how to implement CI into your application delivery.
You'll also want to have fun with your work, to work in a company that isn't corporate in culture but still gets the results it needs. We ideally want forward thinkers who can bring ideas to the table, be proactive thinking of new ways to improve services and functionalities.
What you'll be doing…
Getting evolved in the next product offering from the company. They've built up a solid reputation on their previous 2 offerings, and are now looking to improve on that again with the next generation of their software. It's a Greenfield project so as one of the Software Engineers you will be able to have an influence on the shape of the product moving forward.
In a nutshell, you'll be in a varied role where you will work across multiple projects. Our client have recently started to look at new offerings for their customers, bringing a whole new range of fun to their product portfolio; ultimately giving the development team more and more work. They work within Agile teams, implementing CI/CD processes on a daily basis to make them more efficient moving forward.
What we need…
In an ideal world we are looking for candidates with the below experience;
* Experience working with Java as a development language. If you couldn't tell that from the opening sentence of the advert I'm slightly worried…
* Ability to work with multiple Java frameworks, ideally Spring but crossing over from experience with Hibernate, Quartz etc is fine.
* Experience with build tools (Gradle, Maven, Apache etc), with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Jira, Git etc) and automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef) is going to be really interesting to our client.
There's no fancy job titles with this role, but there's plenty more about the company that makes people excited. As well as an interesting position, they win bucket load of industry awards, they've got one of the best employee areas I've seen (no hot tub included… health and safety!), they promote diversity, they take team out for team building events and they're benefits package is all focussed on people.
Apply for the role, or give us a call for a chat.
