Job description

  • Entry level
  • No Education
  • Salary £25,000.00 - £30,000.00 gross per year
  • Ipswich

A long standing partner of ours in Ipswich is growing their Project Team. A family owned business who compete against corporate giants, to say they punch above their weight is an understatement! A steady number of IT and business systems projects in the pipeline mean they are looking to grow the team. Hurren and Hope have been in partnership with this company for the last 4 years and are very proud to do so. Not only are they innovating in an expanding technology market, they are actively seeking to improve the experience of every customer who has interaction with their service. Given the competitive nature of their sector, we are having to be deliberately ambiguous, we can and will expand to interested parties.

This role will be responsible for the management of IT systems projects across multiple clients in the UK, delivering to often tight timescales and specification, working with multiple internal and external stakeholders and teams ensuring these are met and ultimately, customers are happy once the product has gone live. Previous Project Management experience is not necessarily needed as they have a fully structured training and mentoring program prior to you taking the reins of running a project. As such, this presents a great opportunity for anyone who has a foundation level knowledge and experience of the project lifecycle who is looking to grow into a Project Management role.

Given the emphasis of this role, in time, is to actively manage small to medium-sized projects (think everyone from IT Managers through to vendors and end users), the ability to manage a team and multiple resources (including geographically diverse 3rd parties) is the main priority for this role. Previous project coordination/administration or PMO analyst experience would be of great interest to the team. That being said, exposure to any elements of the project lifecycle would be of interest. Equally, IT experience is not needed. They work on bespoke systems and full training will be given. Self-starter attitude (think some nights reading Wikipedia!) is of utmost interest. Experience is likely to come in many forms, previous Project Management/Coordination or Administration/Project Planning or PMO Analyst, depending on the scale, are likely to fit the bill here, regardless of industry. Ultimately what is needed for this position is excellent organisational, communication and customer facing skills. Any candidates with PRINCE2 knowledge or certification, ideally gained from commercial experience, would also be of significant interest.

The company offer a unique and welcoming work environment where they employ a mature, work hard/play hard environment. A competitive salary up to 30k is on offer depending on experience, along with the chance to join an expanding company who are rapidly gaining market share and ruffling some feathers in their space. If you are interested to find out more, please get in touch. Hurren and Hope, it's about people not sales!
