The Organisation:

Our client is the UK subsidiary of a major Fortune 500 US business. The parent company owns a number of leading brands across a number of sectors including home improvement and consumer durables that are widely used around the home. The UK business is one of the world’s best-known brands in home security and our client prides itself on providing a wide range of security solutions for the home, garden, shed and garage.

Duties and responsibilities:

- Increase sales revenue - a direct primary responsibility
- Seek out and develop new business opportunities in line with the company strategy
- Plan, implement, monitor and report on performance vs commercial targets
- Development of account plans - regular status and progress updates
- Sales forecasts for both financial and logistical
- The first point of contact as the interface between the customer and the company - share all communication
- Recognise and escalate any and all critical issues regarding the customer
- Conduct all company activity in accordance and with respect for the rules and values of the company
- At all times plan to exceed the customer’s expectations
- Plan and have regular meetings with customers
- Perform all other duties as required
- Liaison with UK and European Marketing


- Demonstrable experience within a Key Account Manager role is essential
- Experience of working within a multinational organisation would be beneficial
- University Degree in Business studies / Economics or equivalent
- Team player with an excellent customer centric approach.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, and strong interpersonal skills.
- Enthusiasm, determination & professionalism in dealing with prospects and clients in a proactive manner
- Strong planning and organisational skills
- Full clean driving license
- Fluent English, both written and spoken
- Good knowledge of industrial products
- International and national travel is required
