Job Title Lead IT Business Analyst
Treasury Technology, within Barclays, has an important role to play in supporting Treasury’s infrastructure needs. Treasury Technology currently owns a variety of applications ranging from Transactions to Reporting to fulfil the needs of Treasury as a business.Cover some of the following:
What will you be doing?
The IT Business Analyst will be a member of the core team responsible for the LIBOR transition project. The role will involve helping to identify and remediate the Treasury technology changes necessary to support the Treasury business in their transition from using LIBOR to alternate reference rates.
The Business Analyst will be involved in all stages of project delivery, from initial analysis to resolving day-to-day UAT and migration issues. This will require regular interaction with all stakeholders; Front Office, Operations, Risk, Finance, and other Technology groups. Project Management capability will also be required. This Incudes:
Work with Treasury Business to determine and document business requirements.
Identify and document current and future state business processes/ identify infrastructure changes.
Work with technology partners on system designs.
Create test plans and test scenarios.
Test changes/ resolve issues.
Run meetings/ workshops.
Project manage discrete deliverables.
What we’re looking for:
Proven business analysis experience preferably in an international bank or financial consulting firm, with a track record of completing assignments (requirements gathering & testing).
Ability to manage dependencies and deliverables across business lines in a reliable manner, and to tight timelines.
Ability to influence decision making.
Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
Proactive individual who is customer and delivery focused
Ability to work in a changing environment and be able to work as part of a team to deliver on time and to budget
Strong understanding of LIBOR-linked Fixed Income, Derivatives and Securities products within Investment Bank.
Familiar with the Software Development Life Cycle
Experience guiding and working with test teams. Experience coordinating user testing, issue resolution and retesting.
Experience with complex bank migration programmes.
Good understanding of Treasury function.
Experience of line management.
Skills that will help you in the role:
Extensive experience in working with senior figures in both business and technology, writing technical specifications, functional specifications and test scripts.
Extensive experience of technical/data analysis skills (e.g. using T-SQL, Excel and databases).
Experience of project management within Agile projects.
