We are now seeking to recruit a number of outstanding individuals for a key research and teaching positions in a number of disciplines as outlined below to play a crucial role in the School achieving its vision.
The Department of OB and HRM at Southampton Business School comprises 13 academics with teaching and research interests in the area of careers, corporate social responsibility, crisis, critical management studies, employment, entrepreneurship, ethics, immigration, industrial relations, labour unions, leadership, liminality, mindfulness, psychoanalysis, sustainability, and the changing world of work. Members of the department have published in top tier journals such as theAcademy of Management Annals,Academy of Management Discoveries,Academy of Management Education and Learning, British Journal of Management,Human Relations,Human Resource Management, Journal of Business Ethics,Journal of Management,Journal of ManagementStudies, Journal of Managerial Psychology, Journal of Vocational Behavior, and Work, Employment and Society.The department has a thriving undergraduate and postgraduate portfolio, which is built on the research strengths and focus of department staff.
You will have a PhD or equivalent degree/professional qualifications and experience in OB and/or HRM and an established track record of research publications at a minimum ABS 3* level (or equivalent standing), coupled with research grant activity. You will also demonstrate a strong interest in innovative approaches to teaching and be expected to provide research support (as appropriate) and mentoring to others in the group.
