what you'll be doing
We're already well on the way from being the UK’s favourite little smoothie brand to being Europe’s favourite little healthy drinks brand – with major operations across Western Europe and a range that spans smoothies, juices, coconut water, dairy free, gazpacho and more. To continue our impressive growth we are looking for a legal assistant to join the team.
Reporting to Head of Legal, it will be your job to provide all-round legal support including drafting contracts, letters of advice, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements - ranging from confidentiality agreements, third party supplier agreements, IT contracts, marketing contracts, service agreements, distribution agreements and licence agreements. Plus, it will be your job to advise on rolling out policies and guidelines.
You'll work with teams across the business and with local internal and external lawyers so that you can consult with our business leaders to advise on legal risk; in particular in the areas of contracts law in general, competition law and intellectual property law (both with the support of specialist legal counsel), commercial risk analysis to the global marketing teams on innovation brand projects, privacy law, and digital marketing communications.
You'll also have research responsibilities, looking at emerging laws and amendments and providing updates and guidance to the business.
You'll have completed your Legal Practice Course/Graduate Diploma in law and completed the Professional Skills Course (or its equivalent) plus proven commercial legal drafting experience.
You’ll also have experience of commercial law, privacy law, consumer law and marketing/advertising regulations.
Ideally you'll also have:
- The ability to cope with multiple stakeholders and competing deadlines and priorities with requests at short notice.
- The ability to build relations across the business
- The desire to always be looking for better ways to do things and be able to take on increasing degrees of responsibility
- A commercial mindset
- Axperience in the food and drinks
- The ability and desire to work and thrive in fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
You will help us to keep doing business the right way – keeping innocent one of the Sunday Times Best Places to Work, using our B Corp status to inspire wider change, and reinforcing our culture of staying little as we grow big.
In return for everything you can bring, we can offer you an exciting, challenging role in a fast-growing and dynamic business, with plenty of career opportunities in the UK and across Europe as well as a competitive rewards package. We also have some great clubs, a free breakfast and as many smoothies as you can shake a stick at. Take a look at our reward page for more details.
If you think you have everything we're looking for and more, then we'd love to hear from you. You'll need to get your skates on though, as applications close on 14th June.
Dolly Parton may have worked Nine to Five but you don't have to. We're all about being healthy and happy here at innocent so we're open to a chat about flexible working. No promises, but we reckon that if it's good for you, then it's good for us.
No agencies please.
