Your new company
A global, innovative listed industrial company with over 11,500 people and operations in more than 100 countries. The company is an established leader in mining and natural resources control solutions, with a magnificent reputation and healthy business up year on year, despite the current climate. The company has brand new offices in Surrey, with great links to London and the South East. This is a dynamic and continually expanding company that will suit professionals with a "can do" attitude.

Your new role
An EMEA focused Legal Counsel role reporting directly to the General Counsel as part of a small but indispensable legal function. In this newly created role, you will support the business in negotiating and reviewing customer contracts, general commercial agreements, employment law matters and ad hoc compliance, IP and advisory matters. This will include transactional and acquisitive matters from time to time. Working on a broad range of matters partnering with some of the biggest names in the industrial, mining and resource markets, you will provide sound commercial advise in the company's best interests. You will interact regularly with senior leadership, while supporting supply chain, marketing, HR and operations teams both locally and internationally. This role provide an exceptional opportunity to further your career in an environment that celebrates success and meritocratically rewards achievement. The company is happy for people to work flexibly insofar as it is not detrimental to work requirements at any given time.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a UK or Commonwealth qualified lawyer with uninhibited right to work in the UK. The line manager is open to candidates trained both in private practice in-house, as long as they have strong technical skills and the ability to find solutions as a business person with legal skills. You will be comfortable handling a wide variety of work as part of a small team, and you will have a proactive attitude when seeking solutions to problems. You must be adept at building relationships at different levels, interacting credibly with senior leadership figures. Ultimately, you will be an accomplished communicator and have at least 3-5 years PQE (as a guide only).

What you'll get in return
You will work with a global leader in its field, which in itself is a niche and highly complex market. You will work with some of the most accomplished professionals in the industry, while enjoying flexible working options. Further, there is the realistic opportunity to move into a leadership role in the medium term. You will be rewarded for your work with an exceptional salary and benefits package in a company that has an impressive retention record.
