CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a Mailroom/General Operative to join the team located in Bracknell. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a service for all mail handling (normal, registered, courier and anonymous), as well as being accountable for receiving, signing, distribution and shipping of all incoming and outgoing mail and parcels across our clients large International Research centre on the outskirts of Bracknell.
Primary focus on delivery of Mail Services & Postage SLA 11 and Distribution/Shipping and Receiving SLA 12 in accordance with KPI & Output measurements
Handle all direct customer email and telephone enquiries to the FM Stores/Post room
Record incoming DHL courier / parcel / recorded and registered mail, retaining accurate records to facilitate tracking
Ensure all mail is collected, sorted, and distributed correctly across the site’s various buildings
Process all courier requirements on a daily basis, maintaining accurate records to enable cross charging where required
Perform investigations into lost post / sort and process unidentified mail
Oversee the maintenance of the Mail Room equipment e.g. Franking Machines etc.
Ensure accurate and up to date documentation of Mail Room procedures
Record mail volumes (Mail and Courier)
Receive, enter and transfer items into relevant delivery cages for stores
Follow all Health & Safety and Environmental requirements that are defined on work instructions or communicated in training
Report all accidents, occupational illnesses and emergencies
Undertake and maintain manual handling training and knowledge
Knowledge of emergency procedures associated with mail rooms, including suspect package procedures
Ensure departmental pigeon holes and site database is updated
Carry out Goods Inwards & Porterage activities
Maintain printer cartridges across site and replenish as necessary, across the site’s buildings
Maintain stationery stock levels and replenish supplies as necessary
Provide Records Retention service, including Delivery & Collection
Provide flexible support to the FM Stores as required
Provide flexible support to FM external grounds and waste & moves team as required
In addition to above mentioned tasks, other activities and responsibilities may be individually defined
IT skills including MS Office, data bases
Good level of written and verbal communication skills
Ability to prioritise workload to effectively meet deadlines
Full clean driving license
Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of an integrated site team
Basic understanding of sorting and delivering post, franking, handling of parcels
Experience within a post room environment
Customer service orientated attitude
Awareness of workplace Health and safety
Experience of working on a large campus site
