As a Shift Supervisor you will work along the Maintenance Manager to retain the hotel and its fabric in excellent conditions. You will ensure all facilities, plant areas, operations and amenities are in full working order.


Duties and Responsibilities


Provide competent hands on skills to ensure all hotel services, systems, fixtures and fittings are maintained in perfect working condition and to ensure all defects are corrected promptly. Report any defects requiring further materials or skills to the Maintenance Manager.


Carry out quality checks and time sheet audits on both the planned and reactive maintenance work carried out by the Shift Technicians and Room Care Technicians.


Liaise with Front Office and Housekeeping to ensure the availability of rooms in advance of planned maintenance works.


Prioritize all jobs and complete according to departmental, hotel and statutory standards. If work can not be completed within the required timeframe, inform all relevant persons and discuss options available.


Ensure the Maintenance team uphold the highest standards at all times in terms of grooming and health and safety. Monitor and manage their performance with the support of the Maintenance Manager and identify training needs.


Carry out trainings and attend meetings as required.
