The Maintenance Technician role sits within the Central YMCA Estates Team, a central services department with a commitment to deliver excellent facilities that support our industry leading wellbeing, teaching and education operations. The Estates team comprises the facilities and cleaning support teams that provide cost effective and practical facilities services solutions to all operations whilst striving to create inclusive and inspiring environments for all users. The department has been recognised as the current Charity Team of the Year and has been instrumental in maintaining premises to be fit for purpose and delivering and supporting operations with a variety of projects including the recent £2million investment for the Central YMCA Club developments.


Do you want to be part of this? We are recruiting for a General Maintenance Technician (Electrical) to join the team to carry out any maintenance work, services contract management and associated facilities tasks in order to ensure the safe and continued operation of the charity’s facilities and associated premises.


About You

You will be a fully qualified electrician with experience of working in a commercial customer service environment.


You will also;


Have cross trade experience in maintaining premises fabric, fixtures and fittings and to carry out building services repairs within publicly access facilities.

Be able to work an average of 40 hours per week on a three week rota including one weekend and occasional scheduled night work

Are you up for the challenge? You will have a ‘can do’ approach, delivering results on time and to budget, in a supportive and client focused manner.


You will also need;


Formal training with a recognisable qualification in managing and maintaining electrical services and electrical systems e.g. City of Guilds Certification
