In this role you will:

Service and maintain the existing plant equipment and building facilities

New equipment installation and modification

Safety system installations and improvements

Calibration of various equipment and machinery

Movement or re-organisation of production lines

Installation of services to support new equipment or processes

Assist with implementation of changes to manufacturing processes

Any other activities requiring practical engineering support in their implementation

Produce work instructions for specific job tasks

Complete work orders for all works undertaken

Work with machine controls (PLC etc.), pneumatic or hydraulic systems

Requirements:You will bring to this role:

The ability and the capacity to understand a wide range of engineering functions and procedures for the relevant technology

The ability to work co-operatively and liaise with people at all levels

Good technical engineering skills and good practical skills, with a common sense approach

Self-confidence and ability to work independently and have good team working skills

Excellent communication skills

Able to demonstrate strong independent working skills across Mechanical and Electrical disciplines

Problem solving techniques and ability to work on own initiative. (Logical and systematic approach)

Experience working in a similar role, possibly from a maintenance or engineering technician background

The ability to prioritise breakdowns to reduce downtime throughout the factory

A fast paced and enthusiastic and confident work ethic, whilst maintaining composure under pressure

Ideally, apprentice trained to City & Guilds level or above

PC Literate

Electrical training against 17th edition or above

The desire and motivation to improve the department and facility
