EY’s FS People Advisory Services (PAS) team is an integrated practice of tax, reward and advisory professionals focused exclusively on the financial services market in EMEA and based in Bristol, Manchester, London, Paris and Zurich.
A small but international team of 200 multidisciplinary professionals FS PAS is a strategically important region in EY’s integrated global People Advisory Services division which brings together over 10,000 practitioners from Tax and Advisory teams to deliver insight and innovation on people, organisational and compliance issues.
The opportunity is in the Reward team based in London working closely with colleagues in the employment tax, mobility and workforce advisory teams in both London, throughout the FS PAS region and with PAS and other service lines of the firm globally.
In FS PAS our clients are varied but all share a single feature: that they operate in some of the most dynamic sectors of the global economy namely Banking and Capital Markets, Insurance, Wealth and Asset Management. They range from large multinational banks, to global insurance companies to specialist asset managers all of whom demand highly specialist and responsive service from their advisors. They are developing their business models in an increasingly complex regulatory landscape, and that's why we need a diverse range of people with a truly global skill set to join us.
The opportunity
The combined Reward and Employment Tax team in FS PAS is looking to grow and would like to appoint a new Manager within the team with specialist skills in Share Schemes and other long term incentives.
This is a small dynamic team in which we are looking to grow our share schemes capability. Key features of the role are a focus on:-
multi disciplinary client service
establishing strong internal networks within the FS Tax, and Transactions Advisory service lines across the UK and globally to secure opportunities from the firm’s extensive client base

Help us to grow our presence in the listed
company share schemes advisory market
Your key responsibilities
To successfully sell, design and deliver share schemes solutions to a broad range of clients in the Financial Services sectors: Banking and Capital Markets, Insurance and Wealth and Asset Management
To support Transactions Advisory Teams on HR and tax due diligences necessary for client transactions
Contribute to business development and client pursuit efforts by preparing proposals and delivering presentations to potential clients
Build and maintain tax relationships with clients and provide high levels of client service
Build relationships both within the firm and externally with clients, identifying opportunities and managing expectations
Manage the successful delivery of tax projects, ensuring technical excellence and practical/business driven approach taken
Keep clients up to date on key legislative changes and the impact this will have on their business
Delegating to junior members of staff and assisting with their learning and development
Shape the future of the practice as it expands the breadth and depth of services it offers clients through advancement in technology, regulatory developments
Skills and attributes for success
Experience of share scheme incentive programmes gained in consultancy
Have strong personal impact and resilience, and be able to influence and persuade clients and stakeholders at all levels to gain support for major changes and key decisions
Business development skills, able to identify and convert opportunities to sell work
Proven track record in project management and delivery
Entrepreneurial with a desire to work in a small high growth, multidisciplinary team of 25 professionals
Change orientated with flexible approach
Be professional, quickly establishing personal credibility and demonstrating expertise.
Take a practical approach to solving issues and gaining client agreement
Be able to analyse complex problems and to deliver insightful, practical and sustainable solutions.
Be skilled in facilitating and encouraging collaboration amongst team members
To qualify for this role, you must have
Experience as a share schemes practitioner in an accounting or legal environment.
Ideally, you'll also have
A primary degree and any post graduate degrees and professional qualifications are desirable but not critical e.g. CIPD
