The Process Shift Lead is in an exciting opportunity to help drive continuous improvement and a safety culture at a growing site. You will oversee a team of 15 Process Operators who manufacture and pack our products ensuring GMP compliance. This role works within a controlled clean area to manage resource and ensure that the team is successful in meeting the required KPIs.
Division Specific Information:
The Microbiology Division provides products for diagnosing disease and detecting bacterial contamination. Our products are used around the world and can help medical professionals to determine the best antibiotic treatment plan for a patient.
What will you do?
With accountability for your shift and team results, you will utilise operating principles and available resources to achieve your shift goals;
You will set daily direction for your team collaboratively and work to remove any barriers to a successful shift;
Acting as the management representative, you will represent the Process department at site meetings as well as providing a management presence on site at weekends and bank holidays;
You will lead the upskilling of your team through training on skills across the operational and personal spectrum;
Through continuous feedback and coaching, you will strive to provide an environment that encourages individual and team growth;
Who we are looking for:experience, skills & abilities
You have managed direct reports across the employee lifecycle within a manufacturing environment, and are experienced at all aspects of people management;
Displaying leadership ability, you can take accountability for your team, your successes and challenges;
With good attention to detail, you approach situations with a meticulous eye on safety, quality and procedures;
With experience in continuous improvement, you are able to identify areas for change and develop innovative solutions.

This role is offered on an average 31.5 hour working week with a 2 week rotating daytime shift pattern.
