Head of Marketing / Marketing Manager - Manchester

Role Description
Reporting to the Sales & Marketing Director / Managing Director this role is responsible for the overall planning and execution of the marketing plan to exceed business and sales objectives - focusing on lead generation, brand awareness and go-to-market messaging. This role is a key function within the business and is a senior management position leading a team of 2/3 direct reports.
Marketing Planning

You will be required to translate business direction, sales objectives and vendor engagement into a deliverable multi-channel marketing plan with the primary objective of generating marketing qualified leads, increasing brand awareness, and effective communication go-to-market messaging with customers and target prospects.

Campaign Planning & Execution

The Head of Marketing will define, agree and communicate the marketing plan with key stakeholders and oversee the execution of campaign activities - by the marketing campaign manager - to increase the volume of marketing qualified leads and generated to support our regional sales teams pipeline growth

Marketing Team Management

To lead a team of marketing direct reports, currently consisting of a Campaign Manager and Marketing Brand & Design, Telemarketeer and will be responsible for managing their objectives and prioritising workloads to ensure that their output is aligned and contribution to the overall team objectives detailed in the marketing plan. You will of course in due course time have full ownership and responsibility for the growth, shape and format of this team to achieve the desired outcomes.

Brand & PR

The Head of Marketing will be responsible for overseeing the creation, communication and enforcement of brand guidelines for the business - working closely with marketing brand & design. This will include evolving the company brand to meet business objectives, support our go to market position and build our presence and personality portrayed through our website, industry news, social channels and customer facing documentation.

Content & Messaging

Working with the CTO, you will ensure that the relevant go-to-market and sales enablement material is created surrounding our value proposition and market offerings. The Head of Marketing will contribute and oversee marketing content including website, collateral, blogs, social and campaign content - becoming the central sign off point for all customer facing content.

Vendor Engagement & Funding

You will be expected to own and manage the marketing relationships with our key vendors - making sure that we have joined up plans in place and marketing activity is aligned to key messages & market trends. The Head of Marketing will also be responsible for working with key contacts within vendors and distribution to sign off marketing funding for campaign activity. They work extensively to utilise vendor funding and this form a key part of our marketing investments.

Reporting & Budgets

The Head of Marketing will create, manage and communicate reports to key stakeholders (internally & vendors) to give visibility of ROI and performance against marketing deliverables. This will include:

* Vendor feedback
* Board reporting and presentation periodically
* Budgetary reporting - Internally to the board / directors and key stakeholders, vendors and core
* Sales & Marketing meetings - performance updates
* Sales Team - circular feedback and content discussion
* Marketing team - inclusion of your own team, motivation, performance and strategy.

Digital Marketing

They deliver a continuous flow of digital marketing activity. Part of your role will be to manage and influence a dynamic digital strategy, with performance metrics to prove such activity. Currently one of the marketing team handles all digital marketing, your role with encompass the management and development of this.

Marketing Communications

You / your team will be responsible for all communication internally and externally with the business teams and core vendors with regards to marketing success and activities.
