Description

Our client based in Carmarthen is looking for an experienced Marketing Executive to cover a maternity post from the end of February for 9
- 12 months.


The role:

Reporting to the Marketing Manager and Managing Director the Marketing Executive will co-ordinate the marketing and publicity campaigns within the marketing function.
The Marketing Executive will be responsible for preparing press releases, issuing review copies, following up activity by email and telephone, running all social media activity and maintaining accurate records on activity undertaken.


The successful applicant will be able to:

Build rapport with authors and journalists.

Be enthusiastic, providing creative ideas to assist with the marketing in all areas.

Produce/design accurate marketing material and catalogues, paying attention to detail.

And work in a well-structured way to ensure tasks are completed to set deadlines.

Essential skills include a good working knowledge of:

Design and Adobe suite essential
The use of social media
- Twitter, LinkedIn and Hootsuite
Email marketing delivery systems e.g.
Mailchimp or similar program
Duties include:

Mailchimp:

Preparing emails.

Sending out Press releases.

Creating and issuing bespoke marketing campaign emails for specific books e.g.
releasing extracts over a phased period of time.
Marketing Plans/Information Sheets:

Contribute ideas to marketing plans and meetings, carry out research where required.

Review new submissions
- research social media coverage, on- line coverage.

Run marketing campaigns on all new books maintaining email and telephone contact with authors etc.
- keeping plans up to date.

Issue physical and digital review copies to magazine contacts and creating and issuing press releases to relevant contacts and following up.

Maintaining contact with relevant press contacts, key influencers, researching and adding to where appropriate.

Checking of marketing material/mail chimp emails and proofreading marketing material prepared by Marketing Assistant.
Social networking:

Maintaining the companies Twitter with news, shows and events, etc.
together with LinkedIn.

Produce ideas for, set up, monitor and report on social media led marketing campaigns.

Keep an eye on news and social media network and highlight any ideas to Managing Director.
Design:

Designing and setting catalogues, marketing material, obtaining quotes and liaising with printers.
General:

Answering phones
Follow up various queries for the marketing team.

Deputising for the Marketing Assistant in their absence including email responses, website updates.

Monitor and action any urgent emails in the Marketing Managers absence
