BBC Monitoring is a specialist service within BBC News that enables organisations to understand the world through its media. Our highly experienced regional teams track, translate and analyse local sources to make sense of what is happening on the ground, particularly in parts of the world where reliable news and information is in short supply. Our international perspective means that all our customers, wherever they are in the world, are uniquely well-informed about events that matter to them
Production, distribution & reporting of monthly email newsletter
Production, distribution & reporting of quarterly campaign email and adhoc campaigns based on user interest and collaboration with Editorial teams
Together with the Senior Data Analyst, production of the monthly BBCM Performance dashboard
Maintenance of Wired Plus marketing platform
Together with the Senior Data Analyst, represent BD within the BBCM Social Media team, including attending Social Media Team meetings
Together with Senior Data Analyst and Social Media Team, coordinate and monitor digital marketing engagement through social listening also presenting findings in the weekly social and user dashboard (Tools include Spredfast, SocialFlow, CrowdTangle, Twitter Analytics)
Manage the BBCM LinkedIn account and initiate relevant posts
Together with Customer Service Manager, manage the public pages of the website i.e curation of blogs from Editorial/Innovation/BD and ensuring messaging and unlocked content is maintained.
Manage all aspects of branding and promotional material in BD from design to delivery.
Represent Business Development at the weekly Reach meetings and undertake initiatives to build and engage users and prospects.
The Ideal Candidate
Significant experience of producing and reporting campaign material: including newsletters, emails, website, blogs etc.
Skilled in monitoring social media and providing analysis which helps drive marketing and commercial activity
Confident user of systems including Spredfast, SocialFlow, Crowd Tangle, Twitter Analytics and LinkedIn.
Experience of managing branding and promotional material from design to delivery.
Experience of undertaking initiatives to engage existing customers and attract new ones
