Key responsibilities (summary of key tasks)

Drive 'Best Practice' Mechanical design in response to 'NPD' & 'Special Requests'
In collaboration with R&D, convert Concepts into Industrial Engineering solutions
Accountable for end to end engineering solutions with a Customer Centric approach
Prepare, present and arrange engineering assets, trials & prototypes.
Manage a small team to deliver upon critical Engineering objectives

Person Specification: skills, experience, qualifications required.

Essential
3+ years experience of developing 2D, 3D CAD solutions within a fast paced production environment
- Inventor or Solidworks.
Industrialise conceptual designs with a specific bias towards DFM & Customer Solutions.
Generate Assembly & Customer Installation instructions, liaise with Marketing to visualise in the most effective way.
Ability to manage critical product data in relation to BOM's, costs & pricing.
Arrange product trials and installations, ability to obtain feedback, analyse and problem solve to create the best possible customer experience.
Ability to produce Manufacturing Packaging specifications.
Ability to run DFMEA models to understand the design solution suitability in relation to risk, H&S & environment.
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design or equivalent.
Experience in Plastic and Metal part design.
Excellent written, visual and oral communication skills.
Ability to manage small team to deliver upon Critical engineering Objectives.

Have the aptitude to deliver complex product solutions within a short time period to satisfy ever changing customer demands.
Ambitious hands on & can-do approach to problem solving, a go-getter with a demonstrated track record of turnkey solutions.
Ability to become the 'Product Expert', always positively challenging methods, products and best practice.
Have a 'Continuous Improvement' mindset, always searching for simpler more effective ways to deliver the best solution and increased value.
