Description

An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen for a Permanent Medical Human Resources Admin Assistant within a busy HR Department. This post is available from June 2019.


This post is a focal point of contact within the Human Resources Department, working with all levels of medical staff across the Trust and other hospitals, within South Yorkshire and South Humber as part of the lead employer system.


We are looking for individuals who can effectively provide a comprehensive recruitment and HR administrative service to the Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust managers, staff and prospective employees and thereby contribute to support the delivery of patient care at the Trust.


This role is to undertake a range of recruitment duties from the point of advertising a vacancy to the completion of all pre-employment checks. This will include placing adverts on ESR/NHS Jobs and in journals, using the functionality of NHS Jobs to co-ordinate short-listing and interview invitations, dealing with all pre-employment checks in line with Trust procedures and NHS Employment Check Standards and sending offer letters.


This person will have previous experience of working in a busy office environment, good knowledge of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel, email system and excellent interpersonal skills for effective working with colleagues, service users and general public, including a confident telephone manner. Experiencein Medical recruitment will be advantageous.

If a DBS check is required for the post you are applying for any offer of employment will be provisional on a satisfactory DBS check being obtained.


In line with other NHS Organisations in the Yorkshire and Humber Region a successful candidate appointed into a post within this Trust will be required to pay the DBS check fee (£49). This is customarily payable over 4 months as a salary deduction once employed by the Trust. If you receive a conditional offer letter, complete your DBS application and later withdraw from the recruitment process, an invoice will be raised via the Trust's finance department to recoup the outlay.
