Computershare is looking for a talented Mobile Architect to join our agile development team based in Edinburgh.

Computershare recently acquired a leading European employee share plan business with an innovative range of client solutions.  We are now making a long-term investment to enhance these applications and migrate Computershare’s existing and new clients onto the platform.

You will work within our cross-functional agile teams and be involved throughout the full development lifecycle from requirements elicitation to the delivery of high-quality solutions.  Our development team in Edinburgh will be formed of existing staff with bags of knowledge of our domain and new employees who will bring additional technology expertise and experience.

Your role

As a Mobile Architect, you will be responsible for solution design and architecture delivery – providing architectural direction to teams and implementing architectural strategy.

You will elaborate design options, encourage innovation, drive technical strategy and ensure that solutions meet functional and non-functional requirements.  You will be involved in shaping new propositions, services and products, which will see you work closely with other teams across the business to design high-quality innovative solutions.

We are looking for an individual who keeps up to date with emerging technologies and practices, who is comfortable proposing new practices and improvements.

You will uplift delivery capability by educating and mentoring other development staff, using a variety of design techniques and ensuring that good design practices are followed.

Skills & Experience

- Significant experience of mobile application development within an enterprise context
- An accomplished Developer with in-depth knowledge of hybrid mobile frameworks (Cordova, Ionic, React Native) and native development skills such as HTML5, CSS, TypeScript.
- Experienced in responsive user-centric design, MVC, RESTful services
- Strong analytical and research skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong working relationships and influence others.
- An idea generator and a curious mind
- The ability to share knowledge, give advice and mentor others
