The Candidate:

* Distribution / IT Experience

* Previous experience of selling networking solutions into distribution channels

* History of working towards / exceeding sales targets

* Excellent communication skills

The Role:

To ensure the company targets for the product range are achieved.
All new products are marketed to the customer's database, sales floor and technical staff.
To maximise presence within the dealer base.
To understand your product range and its relational fit within the global product range.

* Ensure all sales revenue / profit targets are met as defined by the Company

* To provide support to the Management and to ensure that management directives are carried out

* Liaise closely with all other sales staff to ensure products are offered with any suitable added value products

* Be aware, and advise staff of a regular basis, of accurate competitive activity within the customer base.

* Promote the full range of services and products to the customer

* Be familiar with the trading Terms & Conditions

* To ensure the creation of new product codes, and the maintenance of all current product codes, including the technical descriptions (and other sales related attributes), that are held in the Company database

* To ensure all meetings and communications with manufacturers are clearly documented and the relevant people / departments are informed in order to maximise the effectiveness of the Company

* To undertake such duties which may from time to time be delegated by the Management, but which remain within the overall scope of the job content

* Be aware, and advise staff on a regular basis, of accurate competitive activity within the customer base.

* To assist the Product Business Manager with the product portfolio in terms of stock holding, stock obsolescence, stock balance, and stock profile by means of involvement in purchasing and buying decisions

* Assist Business Manager in setting minimum margins

* Liaise with Sales Floor Manager and Team Leaders to identify training requirements

* To assist the Sales Floor Manager on training schedules to cover all sales personnel requirements

* Responsible for maintaining their relevant products on customer price files

* Liaise with and Co-ordinate Manufacturer training
