Commercial Lawyer with legal documentation drafting, risk management, commercial law (Intellectual Property, contracts, agreements etc) and data protection expertise is highly sought by a multiple award winning games studio based in Birmingham who are the UK’s largest privately owned mobile e-gaming studio! In this position, you will be responsible for all commercial legal requirements within the business covering IP, statutory legal requirements, commercial contacts and agreements for both the business itself and from external providers. In addition, you will deal with various codes of conducts from various government bodies, be technically excellent and commercially aware with the ability to develop innovative solutions for the business as we continue to grow and expand into new areas.

You will have expertise across a wide variety of areas including; drafting, negotiating and advising on a wide variety of commercial contracts (inc. goods and services, distribution, outsourcing and agency agreements) with a good understanding of data protection and intellectual property law. You will work alongside our existing teams to check legal compliance with both internal policies, legal and gambling legislation.

Excellent communication skills are essential for this opportunity as you will liaise and assist all departments across the business, in particular, training teams to develop procedures that comply with LCCP requirements, CAP, ASA, BCAP and legal requirements.

Key skills required:

Educated to Degree level with a strong academic background.

5-8 years PQE.

Ability to manage risk whilst maximizing commercial opportunities.

Able to grasp complex situations quickly with a tenacious attitude.

Advantageous, but not essential skills include…

Experience in the gambling/gaming industry.
