Our client is a seeking an experienced and motivated Veterinary Surgeon to join them on a part time basis (approx. 26hrs per week). In this role, there is potential for the successful candidate to develop their leadership skills and become the branch lead.nnThe client offers a high-quality GP service in their branches, and they act as a source of clinical cases for the main hospital. The successful applicant will carry out consultations and routine operations, be people focused and work hard at building client relationships.nnThe role of the branches is to provide excellent veterinary services to the local community. An emphasis is placed on building relationships with clients to really understand their needs and those of their pets. Each branch has a consulting nurse who, together with the vet, should provide the first port of call for clinical and preventative advice. Our branch vets do routine surgery and dentistry but they do not hospitalise patients overnight.nnYou will have the freedom to develop services and grow the branch surgery putting your own stamp on how things are run. The client has a total of six branch surgeries which are fully supported by a hugely talented team of 20 vets, 26 veterinary nurses, management and support staff.nnThe main hub of the group is the RCVS Tier 3 hospital open 24 hours practicing veterinary medicine and surgery to exceptionally high standards. The client also runs a quality emergency service for the branches and several local practices in the West Midlands with a dedicated team of night staff. The hospital services include CT scanner, digital x-ray, ultrasound, dental x-ray, in-house blood machines, capnography, physiotherapy, cardiology and orthopaedics.nnThe successful candidate will work three days a week and alternate Saturdays until 2pm. There are no OOH requirement with this role but you will be expected to work one Bank Holiday per year consulting at the Hospital.
