A rapidly growing medical company based in Cambridge are seeking a PCB Layout Engineer to join their team.This is a permanent position, which is offering an attractive salary and is a really exciting company to work for due to their state of the art facilities and the benefits (listed below). Who are the company?This firm manufacture portable medical devices globally, have been established for 5 years and already have over 300 staff working for them across two sites throughout Cambridgeshire.Overview of the role:Working closely with engineers to review any PCB outlines, reporting to the head of electronics daily and design complex boards mixing power, analogue/high speed digital.

What does the position entail?
- Working with schematics, using sheet re-use
- Manage the PCB design tools, database and any updates
- Using of the Altium CAD package daily
- Quick turnaround of prototype printed circuit boards
- Looking at layouts of integrated power, analogue and high speed digital circuits
- Managing of component libraries whilst standardising PCB templates
- Liaising internally with colleagues & externally with customers to ensure that the design is up to standard Applicant Requirements:
- 3 years (plus) experience with laying out complex boards mixing power, analogue and high speed digital
- Degree, NVQ/diploma within electronics engineering is desirable
- Background in multi-layer, routing and ball grid array along with advanced technologies such as flex/flexi-ridgid, blind vias or buried vias
- Must be able to manage component databases
- Will be able to design to IPC (electronic) standards
- Experience of design for manufacturing and testing
- Will be a proficient user of Altium designer with one of more strong PCB Computer Aided Design tools
- Working under formal change control, managing and controlling change from concept stage to implementation. Perks:
