Hours: Up to 10 hours per week
Personal Assistants required to support an articulate and intelligent young women with Cerebral Palsy. The hours are to be worked flexibly as required and agreed in advance, may include late night or early morning shifts. She is looking for a confident and adventurous individual who would like to share new experiences and enable her to live her life to the full. This post is funded through the Direct Payments scheme and is intended to enable her to manage her support independently. Training can be provided as required and where available. Must have a full, clean driving licence.
Undertaking and assisting with all of her personal care tasks when required.
Prepare her meals, drinks and snacks and undertaking general household duties such as laundry, hoovering and making the beds.
Support and encourage her with gaining independence and enable her to interact socially within her community to gain good quality of life, providing companionship and social interaction.
Support her to access the local towns, attend appointments and explore different places.
Ensure her safety at all times during your working period.
Promote and preserve her personal sense of well-being at all times.
Active and energetic.

Caring, honest, responsible and patient.
Flexibility around hours of work and main duties of the job.
Reliable with good time keeping.
Able to use own initiative and be self-motivated.

A full driving license is required. Must be a confident driver willing to travel outside Pembrokeshire
5.6 weeks holiday per year (pro rata).
Sick pay at SSP rate.
Training provided if required, where available.
